I love your posts.talltravellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07440288371909276633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8127445009216853825.post-3143972714253548182010-05-06T22:40:38.710-04:002010-05-06T22:40:38.710-04:00i think this is the natural result of a society or...i think this is the natural result of a society oriented around consumerism. whether it be church or yoga or an iPad our culture tells us that we should approach them all as consumers.<br /><br />thus it's no surprise that for some time spirituality has also been transformed into something to be consumed--used up for our own personal gain, and thus necessarily dropped/forgotten as soon as our satisfaction wanes. we enter church on sundays because it feels good. and we come back the next week for a refill.<br /><br />however, this is a false existence. we are intended to be CREAT(E)ures not consumers--made in the image of the ultimate Creator.
